A student of the city's Oakridge School, Sanjana's inspiration to write the poem, the book came from her grandfather Lt Gen (retd) Hari Prasad. The book is dedicated to her teacher, Rosalind, and to her Thata, her inspiration, who is also her grandfather. You inspired me from the first day I started writing poems, Sanjana wrote in the opening pages of the book. A family friend of Dr. D.Nageshwar Reddy, who was the chief guest and addressed the meeting attended by more than 100 people, said that it is unbelievable that a thirteen-year-old girl can write such poetry. I am not a poetry person, I am not interested in such things. But, to honor the occasion I read all the poems while traveling back to Hyderabad for this function. Dr. Nageshwar Reddy cited the poem The Art of Noticing. He said that the poetry in the book is very moving. Referring to another poem where the author talks about her public speaking inhibitions, Dr Reddy said the girl does not seem to have such stage fright. Each poem is wonderful. I read all her poems again and again. I wish her all the best for her endeavours.


Mr. BVR Mohan Reddy said that it is very rare for a 14-year-old girl to become a writer. I have read a total of 28 poems which have deep meaning and long lasting messages and impressions. They are all thought provoking. The poem reflects the kind of person Sanjana is.



Former Union Home Secretary, ASCI Chairman Padmanabhaya said.. Unlike other speakers who spoke before me, I am an outsider. Let me give you my outsider's opinion. The poetry in the book has universal appeal. The author seems to have a good grasp of the language. The title is correct. He said that her efforts are great and wished her a great literary journey in her life.


Briefly introducing her book, Sanjana said that she loves theatre, singing and reading books. I was never that interested in poetry. But it was when I got involved in a school's community project, subsequently guided by my grandfather, that I began my journey that I now enjoy so much,” says Rekha, Sashi's daughter.
